He graduated from Istanbul University, Faculty of Letters, Department of Psychology and Anthropology in 1977. Between 1979 and 1992, he was the manager of the art gallery. In 1991, he became the general curator of the 1st Istanbul Art Fair. He made installation/sculpture work in memory of those who died in the 1998 earthquake in the Israeli village established in Adapazarı in 2000. His work, "Seat", which will be exhibited as part of "Gala Modern" at Istanbul Modern in 2011, was censored with an exception. Following this event, the artist benefited from UPSD, of which he was a member.[1][2][3] In 2011, he showed the coins on which he painted his own portrait in the one-day exhibition called 100 Booby Coins.[4] He lives and works in Istanbul.
